Marvel needs fresh blood badly. Its original lineup included some of the most beloved heroes of the modern era, but most of them have left the franchise. Their direct successors have experienced a mixed reception. While they prepare to launch a new Captain America and a follow-up to Iron Man, relative newcomers like Shang-Chi have to pick up the slack.
