No longer faced with shortages, the console market has become relatively stable since the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2020. Developers have started to max out the PS5's capabilities, demonstrating why it's the top gaming console for many gamers. With the PS6 possibly many years away, Sony looked for other ways to improve the original PS5. As with previous generations of PlayStation consoles, the PS5 Slim offers the same performance and features in a more compact form factor.
