While it's one of the most influential franchises of all time, Star Wars has taken plenty of inspiration from other sources over the years. From George Lucas citing Kurosawa's Seven Samurai as a major inspiration for the design and mythos of the Jedi, to the Empire's rise to power closely resembling the real-world history of Nazi Germany, Star Wars has always been influenced by other sources, and that pattern has continued through to games like Star Wars Outlaws.
