God of War ended its last chapter on a pretty big cliffhanger, which has left many wondering what route the next game will take with its story. Ragnarok saw Kratos and Atreus parting ways, as Atreus ventured off to find more surviving Giants. God of War now focusing on Kratos and his relationship with his son has helped the franchise evolve into a more thought-provoking narrative, but their current separation could actually provide a lot of great material for the next chapter.
