Back in 2013, ABC premiered the very first Marvel Television series, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. At the time, fans had hoped the series would feature appearances by the heroes featured on the big screen within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially as the series was meant to tie in to the films. Unfortunately, though, the series only loosely tied in to the events in the films, and many quickly abandoned the show before it wrapped up its seven-season run.
