A recent leak suggests that the delay of the highly-anticipated Dragon Quest 3 remake will come with remakes of the franchise's first two games. While many fans are more familiar with Square-Enix's Final Fantasy series of JRPGs, Dragon Quest boasts as rich a history as its fellow Square-Enix franchise. First released in 1986 in Japan, Dragon Quest has debuted eleven main-series games throughout its nearly forty-year-long lifespan, launching a plethora of remakes and spinoffs as well. The upcoming return of a classic Dragon Quest game is now being joined with rumors about more remakes.
