Nearly a decade after it first aired, Pierrot's anime adaptation of Tokyo Ghoul has gone down in history as an example of how wasted potential, can diminish the reputation of a series' source material. Although the first season of Tokyo Ghoul garnered immense popularity, subsequent entries did not fare as well.
