Fallout 76 has received many updates since its initial release and there's more content on the way. These patches included finally adding NPCs to the Appalachian wasteland. The Steel Dawn update brought a chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel to the area. You can join them and play through a unique optional questline. Joining the Brotherhood will not lock you out of joining any other factions. This group of the BOS is separate from the squad at Fort Defiance or Abbie's Bunker.
