Zoro is one of One Piece's most important characters. Being introduced in the series as the very first member of the Straw Hat Pirates that Luffy recruited, Zoro always had a certain level of importance attached to him. While Zoro has always been under Luffy, and is there for Luffy to succeed, he has his own goals as well, as do the remaining members of the Straw Hat Pirates as well.
