Two years ago, Firaxis surprised everyone with its addition to the Marvel universe, Marvel's Midnight Suns. The game combined strategical card-based combat with XCOM-like gameplay for an experience unlike any Marvel game before it. Although it ended up being a commercial letdown, it was a critical success and is regarded by some as one of the best superhero games in years.
