The Dexter universe is officially expanding with filming underway on the prequel spin-off series called Dexter: Original Sin. The series will follow Dexter Morgan as an intern in the forensics department at Miami Metro. He'll be surrounded by a string of familiar faces from the original series, but the show will also introduce new characters, with Reno Wilson set to play a character called Bobby Watt. The prequel will need to add more new characters to create brand-new stories to merge with the returning characters' arcs.
