Open-World games give players a ton of freedom in exploring their worlds with little to no repercussions. That said, theres still a solid selection of games in this genre that go the extra step in adding consequences to players who dont follow the rules of the fictional universe, thereby adding a unique, and sometimes punishing, extra challenge for the player.
