Legendary Entertainment and Sony Pictures have officially announced a release date for their upcoming live-action movie based off of the popular Street Fighter series. Like many other classic gaming IPs, Capcom's iconic fighting game franchise has had its fair share of film and TV show adaptations in the past, the majority of which didn't turn out all that great. Hopefully, though, this upcoming Street Fighter movie can buck the trend established by its predecessors by bringing the series to the big screen in a way that longtime fans will appreciate.
