According to a prominent source, remakes of Resident Evil O and Code Veronica are reportedly in the works. If the news is true, its also highly likely that these remakes will be in the same third-person linear style as seen in Resident Evil 2 through 4. However, there is another direction that Resident Evil could attempt in a forthcoming entry, one that the series has danced around before and that would be embracing an entirely open-world design.
