A new fried chicken-inspired gun added to Call of Duty has ignited a war between players, with some feeling as though the series is becoming too silly in an effort to copy the success of Fortnite. For the most part, the Call of Duty franchise has featured fairly realistic weapons and settings, though later entries have introduced zombies and more futuristic technology. However, in the past few years, Call of Duty has featured crossovers with more fantastical properties like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Boys, with the latter tie-in even giving players superpowers through Temp-V Field Upgrades.
