Cyberpunk 2077 has dropped the ball with some inaccuracies in the past, but CD Project Red's new Boston team won't make the same mistake twice.

On a new episode of CD Projekt Red's podcast, the developers of Project Orion assure fans that the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel will succeed where its predecessor failed, especially when it concerns the franchise's authenticity. For example, Associate Game Director Pawe Sasko pointed out an inconsistency in the game's setting, as Reddit had been in a frenzy over misinterpreted manhole covers in-game. Despite Cyberpunk 2077 taking place in an American city, specifically the fictional Night City in California, the manholes covering the streets were consistent with European designs, not the manhole covers found on American streets. CD Projekt Red seeks to fix those imperfections, thanks to a new Boston studio.
