Apart from rumors, the future of the Borderlands games is currently unknown, at least until a proper Borderlands 4 reveal inevitably comes around. However, with the upcoming live-action movie adaptation of Borderlands on the horizon, and the cliffhanger that Borderlands 3 left the story on, its only a matter of time until Borderlands 4 comes out of hiding.
