Far Cry has been rather uncharacteristically quiet since the last main entry in 2021. While Ubisoft's long-running open-world FPS series previously had a steady release schedule, Far Cry fans have received scant official information on Far Cry 7 regarding its potential direction and related components. One of the major rumors (though still unconfirmed) that has consistently cropped up, however, is that Far Cry 7 will have an in-game timer in some form. While this has proven somewhat contentious so far, it does spark some interesting conversations as to how it will affect Far Cry overall if that is indeed the case.
