CD Projekt RED's Sirius is still early in development, but will be a completely new perspective on The Witcher universe with its multiplayer mode. The Witcher multiplayer is likely to move away from Geralt's story, which means deviating from The Witcher books that serve as the source material for the games. This will likely not pose a problem, as the lore of The Witcher is rich and diverse, with hundreds of years since the Conjunction of the Spheres and even jumping forward in time as an option. However, with new characters, new places, and possible new timelines, comes the unfamiliar, and it can be jarring for some players to find that a once familiar world is suddenly foreign.
