Far from the madding crowd of Dragonstone, Daemon takes Harrenhal peacefully in the name of his wife - Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen. The castellan, Ser Simon Strong, graciously welcomes him to Harrenhal because he bears malice toward his grandnephew, Larys Strong, who he suspects of killing their kin.
