Anger Foot is one of a growing number of games whose mechanics and design elements work in concert to allow the player to enter a "flow state".

Free Lives and Devolver Digital have teamed up once again to deliver another promising indie title, this time in the hilariously over-the-top and frantic Anger Foot. While the visual style of Anger Foot has undergone plenty of revision and polish in the 4 years since its initial conceptualization, the core gameplay loop that Free Lives envisioned back in 2020 remains largely intact. The closest comparison one could make to Anger Foot would be imagining Hotline Miami in first-person, but the similarities between the two extend far beyond their setting and style. Anger Foot's gameplay sees players entering the sought-after "flow state" achieved by the perfect storm between gameplay, audio, and visuals.
