There are a lot of characters in House of the Dragon. The prequel might have fewer central figures than Game of Thrones, but it's still a massive cast. Rhaenyra and Aegon act as the main characters of their stories, with separate supporting worlds of warriors, politicians, and family members in far-flung locations. Everyone knows the big players on each team, but they have lower-level supporters worth exploring. Rhaenyra's small council includes a sworn sword called Ser Alfred Broome, and while he mostly just sits at the table and drops misogynistic wisdom, he's destined for terrible things.
