Baldur's Gate 3 has a setting that has enraptured players, but it's one that's simultaneously overused and underserved in D&D 5e.

Baldur's Gate 3 is steeped in a kitchen-sink approach to fantasy, with the game's opening alone jumping between scenes of sci-fi horror, swords and sorcery, and more Tolkien-adjacent vistas. This is a natural side effect of Baldur's Gate 3 taking place in one of D&D's most popular settings, one that has gone without a proper sourcebook in recent years.
