While Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) will be a central part of Scream 7, fans hope the horror sequel will feel different rather than just another entry in a long-running slasher franchise. While Scream became a beloved staple of the genre and showed filmmakers that a slasher movie could be funny as well as intelligent, fans don't want Scream 7 to feel like the original movie. There is also hope that Scream 7 could be a fun reboot that moves away from the same plot of Sidney as the final girl going up against another Ghostface.
