The Final Fantasy franchise has a reputation for featuring games that tell well-written and compelling stories. They nearly always have casts of playable main characters that are easy to root for and even easier to become attached to. Unfortunately for fans, some of the best Final Fantasy games have a habit of killing off these characters.
