In order to firmly differentiate Haunted Chocolatier's combat from Stardew Valley's, there is one big change that could ensure a completely new experience. Combat is only one of the many pieces that will put together Haunted Chocolatier, just like in ConcernedApe's previous title. With that in mind, it deserves the same amount of respect as every other aspect of the game. There is also plenty of reason to hope for something to really set the game apart from Stardew Valley in terms of mechanics. In addition to the new concept, combat is a perfect area to experiment with.
