The initial pitch for Star Wars Outlaws was simple: open world scoundrel. Developer Massive Entertainment wanted to eschew the usual Star Wars storylines that favor the Jedi/Sith and Empire/Rebel conflicts in favor of a story that dealt with the morally gray worlds that exist on the periphery of the brand. With protagonist Kay Vess simply fighting to survive, her aims arent as clean cut, making the Star Wars Outlaws experience feel fresh and new.
