Even as it approaches the end of its lifespan, Elden Ring has aged gracefully. Boasting over twenty-five million copies sold, and at least five million purchases of its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, Elden Ring is undoubtedly the most successful game in FromSoftware's catalog, and it's hard to say if it's going to be topped anytime soon. Not currently knowing FromSoftwares next move doesn't help, but as it seems to have put a lid on Elden Ring as a game series with its expansion, the Japanese game developer is free to move on wherever and whenever it wishes.
