Game developer Game Freak has introduced numerous new gameplay mechanics throughout the Pokemon franchise. For instance, in the Pokemon X and Y generation, Mega Evolutions were introduced, evolving fan-favorite Pokemon into more powerful versions, such as Mega Mewtwo X, which has the highest attack stat of any Pokemon.
