When the Dan Da Dan anime was first announced, it quickly drew comparisons to wildly popular series like Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen. The connection wasn't unfounded - the series' creator, Yukinobu Tatsu, had previously worked as an assistant on both Chainsaw Man and Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku. To add fuel to the fire, the creators of these hit series recommended Dan Da Dan to their eager fan bases. With such a pedigree and a premise that seemed tailor-made for shnen success, it was only a matter of time before the series became the "next big thing", it really only needed to wait for an anime adaptation.
