Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are fast approaching the second anniversary since their release, and The Pokemon Company has done a great job supporting the Gen 9 games so far with post-launch content and several smaller updates. Pokemon games' model is more similar to live-service titles by the day with this approach, as there are quite often limited-time events going on for players to get bonus items and mons via gift codes or Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's 7-star Tera Raid bosses to defeat and catch. Tera Raids lend themselves nicely to feature unique critters like exclusive Paradox Pokemon or even the returning shiny Gimmighoul event for the 2024 World Championships - however, this event is far from great.
