Mojang Studios hasn't added significant changes to Minecraft's Nether dimension in a while, preferring to focus on the Overworld instead. This has naturally left the gameplay in the fiery dimension feeling a bit stale and repetitive. It is not yet known what the next update will bring, but perhaps it's time that Mojang looks towards an old Minecraft feature from Pocket Edition for inspiration. This can help refresh the gameplay as well as add another element for modders to tinker with.
