Gamescom Opening Night Live kicked off with a bang by revealing Borderlands 4, the next entry in Gearbox Software's beloved looter-shooter franchise. Considering the dizzying commercial success of the previous Borderlands games, Borderlands 4 has always been a matter of "when" and not "if." But with seven years between the launch of Borderlands 2 and 3, franchise fans were never quite sure exactly when they'd be able to expect the game.
