Dexter and Harrison both had a dark passenger, after witnessing their mother's deaths, meaning they could kill together in Dexter: Resurrection.

Dexter: Resurrection will see Dexter survive after being shot in the chest by his teenage son, Harrison. Despite this being a retcon of the finale of Dexter: New Blood, it has given the writers the chance to explore Dexter and Harrison's relationship in more depth moving forward. Dexter noticed signs of Harrison's own dark passenger, and chose to share the details of Harry's code with him in order to channel his urges. It looked like father and son might kill together, but this idea was brought to an abrupt end with Dexter in bad shape at the end of Dexter: New Blood.
