Isekai anime and manga are essentially power fantasies. They usually feature a weak, overlooked main character who suddenly gets god-like powers and enjoys flaunting them to prove everyone wrong. These kinds of series are an absolute blast they're much faster when it comes to character development and don't hold the same level of substance some mainstream shounen anime and manga do. But that's exactly what makes them so fun and compelling. However, this ultimately leaves a lot to be desired in terms of other substantial aspects, particularly the part where the MC has a multifaceted personality with complex emotions and intelligence and doesn't entirely depend on brute strength or magical powers.
