The Witcher games have come a long way since the series first began back in 2007, and there is even more planned for its future. Based on the books by celebrated Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher has expanded into a variety of media adaptations. Although Sapkowski's books are notable fantasy novels, CD Projekt Red's game adaptations helped introduce the story of Geralt to a larger audience.
