Ascending Agents in Zenless Zone Zero is a necessity since it's required to maximize a character's level. Without a character promotion, each Agent will be stuck at the current level cap, which starts at level 10. Meanwhile, expanding a unit's level cap eventually allows the Agent to reach level 60 in ZZZ.
