Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot fans finally know when DLC 3 is coming, as a new a trailer reveals its release date and more information.

It's been over a year since the release of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot in January of 2020, but those fans that have waited patiently for new content are finally getting their reward. The final DLC for the game is called Trunks - The Warrior of Hope, and it now has an official release date. The best part about this is that it isn't even that far off, as players will be able to change the future starting on June 11th. Alongside revealing the DLC's release date, a new trailer also shows off a bit of gameplay of a heated battle between Future Gohan and his nemeses, Androids 17 and 18.

Although the first two DLCs for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot took on the Dragon Ball Z movies Battle of Gods and Resurrection F, the final one is instead going backwards in the timeline to show what Future Trunks went through when the Androids attacked. Most Dragon Ball games stick solely to the main timeline that the show follows, so this is a welcome treat for fans of Future Trunks.

As the tweet below shows, the final DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be available on June 11th. The accompanying video showcases a few minutes of gameplay with Future Gohan, a fan favorite character that is typically under represented in most Dragon Ball games. Players will notice that he is missing his arm during the entire fight, an iconic feature of this tragic character that is often left out whenever he is included in a game. It also provides him with a different fighting style, so players may need to get used to his moveset after playing so much Goku and Vegeta.

Android 17 and 18's combat style also seems unique in the demo shown above. From the short clip, it seems that Android 17 takes the fight to Gohan for the most part, preferring to use melee attacks and keep Gohan occupied. In the meantime, Android 18 stays back, firing standard ki blasts to interrupt attacks or freezing Gohan in an energy ball. With all three combatants at level 40, the fight seems very challenging, but it remains to be seen whether these levels are locked for the story or if they will instead be based off of the player's progression.

All questions will finally be answered on June 11th, and since Bandai Namco has previously stated that this is the last DLC, players shouldn't expect to see a second season pass. Instead, it's more likely that fans will be treated to a Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot sequel. Until then, enjoy the new DLC.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
