Star Wars Outlaws takes place during the peak of scum and villainy within the larger Star Wars canon. Its set in-between the fifth and sixth movie in the timeline after all of the bad stuff befalls the heroes in Star Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back. Luke Skywalker loses his hand, Han Solo is frozen in carbonite, and overall it feels like the Galactic Empire has won.
