The Swiss K31 is a Call of Duty: Warzone sniper rifle that appears in Season 3's content update and can be used to dominate long-range battles.

After months of dominating in Call of Duty: Warzone, the Kar98k has new competition for its place as the most mobile sniper option. Call of Duty: Warzone fans are turning towards the Swiss K31 due to its high damage, mobile build, and accurate shooting. While the weapon is debatably weaker than the Kar98k, fans can maximize its strengths and find amazing results on the battlefield.

The Swiss K31 rifle appeared in Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The weapon is a bolt-action sniper that appeared during Season 3's content update for both games, and originally was met with mixed reviews. Unlocked at Tier 31, the Swiss K31 can be applied to custom classes or found scattered across Verdansk.

The Swiss K31 is a high-damage Sniper Rifle in Call of Duty: Warzone that holds six rounds in its magazine. As a bolt-action weapon, the gun takes around one second between shots, making it a slow but deadly option for fans to use. The gun uses 7.5x55mm ammunition and takes three seconds for the reload animation to complete, so players need to prioritize accuracy between shots and single-down eliminations.

As a Call of Duty: Warzone Sniper Rifle option, players should always pick an optic that makes them comfortable. The Swiss K31 is designed for mid-range and long-range engagements, and so the Royale & Kross 4x, Ultrazoom Custom and Vulture Custom Zoom remain popular options. A good default is the Axial Arms 3x, but this will prioritize mid-range battles for the weapon, but some fans do leave the default scope on this rifle.

The muzzle should prioritize suppression or damage, depending on player preference. The GRU Suppressor and Infantry Stabilizer are good options, but some fans prefer the Task Force Shroud, as it reduces Idle Sway while aiming with a non-scoped sight. The muzzle is best paired with a longer barrel for almost every strategy, so players should use the 24.9" Extended, 24.9" Combat Recon, or 24.9" Tiger Team barrels for damage increases and increased bullet velocity.

Fans hoping to use this weapon in mid-range battle as opposed to sniping should invest in a body laser sight. The SOF Target Designator, SWAT 5mw Laser Sight, and Steady Aim Laser are both viable options in intense battles. As a Sniper rifle, the gun generally avoids underbarrel attachments, but mobile-focused builds should look towards the Bruiser Grip or Infiltrator Grip as options. For Call of Duty: Warzone Sniper builds, the Bipod and SFOD Bipod can offer additional support for long-range accuracy.

The handle option should generally be avoided, but magazine increases are vital to this rifle's success. Fast Mag, STANAG 10 Rnd, and Salco 9 Rnd Fast Mags are all viable options depending on the damage, reload speed, and versatility that the player is seeking. Most competitive builds are using the STANAG 10 Rnd or Salvo 9 Rnd in their builds, but it does rely on player preference. The stock should be left as default unless building towards mobile sniping, at which point fans should turn towards the Duster Stock, SAS Combat Stock, or Raider Stock for increased ADS and mobility factors.

There are two main ways to build the Call of Duty: Warzone sniper rifle Swiss K31. Fans can either move towards a super mobile mid-range build, or try and optimize the weapon for long-range sniping and precision. Depending on this, fans have several perks and equipment options to choose from while building their custom loadouts.

Starting with a Call of Duty: Warzone mid-range build, fans should select Double-Time in their first perk option, as it will allow for moving locations at a faster rate. The best second perk is Ghost, but this can be replaced with High Alert if fans want extra information about potentially unseen enemies. Finally, players are recommended to use Tracker in their loadouts, as it will allow them to see the travel paths of nearby enemies.

This allows for the Swiss K31 to turn into a hunting weapon that is perfect for eliminating bounties and hunting down most-wanted targets. Lethal options should veer towards Thermal or Molotov suppression style items, while Tactical options are stun, flash, or heartbeat sensors depending on the player's personal style.

For Call of Duty: Warzone long-range builds, fans should shift prioritize towards stealth rather than aggression. Cold-Blooded is an immediate go-to for the first perk slot, which is quickly followed by Ghost to make the player undetectable. While High Alert is viable, Ghost will help with the stealth approach and staying in one spot for longer periods of time. Players can fill the final slot with Tracker or Shrapnel depending on whether or not the player is reliant upon their Lethal equipment. Good Lethal options include Thermite, Moltovs, and suppression style options, while Tacticals like Smoke and Flash can make for instant getaway opportunities.

  • Muzzle - GRU Suppressor
  • Barrel - 24.9" Combat Recon
  • Ammunition - Salvo 9 Rnd
  • Optic - Royal & Kross 4x
  • Underbarrel - Bipod

Fans should start by pairing the GRU Suppressor with the 24.9" Combat Recon sight. This offers sound suppression, increased bullet velocity, and effective damage range extensions alongside additional bullet velocity buffs. This immediately will gear the Call of Duty: Warzone sniper rifle for long-range opportunities and lock it out of close-range engagements. The Royal & Kross 4x offer enough magnification to hit most targets, while the Bipod reduces recoil on the weapon for faster follow-up shots. As for Salvo 9 Rnd, the clip will automatically increase the player's ammo capacity while adding the benefits of faster reload times.

This loadout is best paired with Cold-Blooded, Ghost, and Tracker as the main three perks alongside Smoke and Molotov equipment options. Fans should prioritize high ground opportunities as they will be fighting in sniper battles from across the map. Be careful when scoping in as ADS time is slightly reduced, but accuracy and bullet velocity should ensure that players hit their targets.

Due to the Swiss K31 being a sniper rifle, fans should pair this gun with a pistol secondary by default. Good alternative options are Call of Duty: Warzone SMGs and assault rifles that are found scattered across Verdansk. Continue to switch locations, maintain high ground opportunities, and be cautious of close-combat situations to truly see the benefits of this weapon.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
