Filming is underway on Jurassic World: Rebirth, with the new sequel set to hit theaters in summer 2025. It's a quick turnaround after the Jurassic World trilogy came to an end in 2022, with the initial thinking that the franchise would take a break. However, the success of Jurassic World: Dominion has led to another sequel going into production. It appears that the latest sequel could be going back to its roots, with a storyline very similar to Steven Spielberg's 1997 sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and as much as this movie wasn't perfect, it had many elements which made it a hit with fans of the franchise.
