One Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild player discovers an odd glitch that gives the Guardian enemies extremely long 'spaghetti' legs.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild raised the bar for open world games and practically created an entirely new genre, but that doesn't mean it is without flaws. Players have been exploiting its mechanics or finding strange glitches since the game was released, and now over four years later it's still happening. This time, Redditor Bl4ckm4rs discovered a strange and somewhat disturbing glitch involving the Guardian enemy type. When done properly, this glitch causes the Guardian's legs to stretch out multiple times beyond their normal length, but it doesn't last for long.

What makes this glitch both very funny and somewhat disturbing is that the Guardians are supposed to be both feared and respected in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Players aren't expected to take on these enemies until they've gotten some better gear and practice with the combat system.

At the start of the clip below, players just see Link standing in front of a large box. After he uses stasis on the box, players can guess where this is going. Link then proceeds to hit the box with a spinning swing to build up its potential energy before finally hitting it with one more arrow to change its direction. After running out from behind the box, viewers now see that it is pointed directly at the head of a Guardian. What follows is simultaneously funny and a bit terrifying. The guardian predictably goes flying off the cliff from the impact of the box, but part of him stays behind.

As the game glitches out, the Guardian's legs begin to stretch to ridiculous lengths. Although Bl4ckm4rs describes this as a "Guardian with spaghetti legs," some viewers in the comments find it more creepy than funny. The top comment on the post actually likens it to some early Guardian concept art, in which  the creatures look a lot more terrifying than their final design. Even so, it's hard not to laugh after hearing the noise the Guardian makes as it is sent flying.

In describing the glitch, Bl4ckm4rs explains that they had to carry the large box all the way over from Wasteland Tower. The spot where this Guardian can be found is between the Wasteland Tower area and the Southern Maze, and while it isn't a terribly far walk, Bl4ckm4rs explains that it was a pain to do while carrying that massive box the whole way.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available now on Switch.
