Super Animal Royale: How To Use Campfire | Game Rant

Using campfires is a vital part of surviving in Super Animal Royale, but some players are coming across campfires that don't turn on.

As with any game, healing is a very important part of playing Super Animal Royale. The campfires scattered around the map can be very helpful with this, but it can be confusing to figure out how they work at first. Most players have probably approached a campfire and then been healed as it lights up, but some are reporting that approaching a campfire does nothing and provides no healing. This is actually the intended design, and players will need to understand exactly how the campfires work in order to make the most out of them.

Campfires aren't the only way that players can heal in Super Animal Royale, but they are definitely convenient when the player runs across them. This is especially true in team modes, as the entire party can receive healing from a single campfire. There are some things that players should keep in mind whenever using a campfire, however.

The basic function of the campfire is simple. If players approach a campfire, it will light up and provide healing to all animals and Giant Emu nearby. Players will heal for 4 HP per second, and the campfire will stay lit for a total of 15 seconds. After those 15 seconds are through, the campfire will go dark and the logs will change to appear burnt. If players and their teammates stand within the campfire the entire time, they can get up to 60 HP of healing from it. After the campfire goes out, it cannot be used again for the rest of the game by anyone.

Those players that have been finding campfires and are unable to activate them are likely coming across used up ones. If another player has already rested at the campfire for 15 seconds, then no one else will be able to use it for the rest of the game. In order to tell a used and unused campfire apart, players should look at the logs on the campfire. If they are brown, the campfire has not been used, but if they look black and charred, it will not work anymore. There's no use in wasting time near a used up campfire.

An unused campfire will light up whenever any player stands next to it, and it even works on downed players that crawl within the range. Players can choose to share the campfire with their enemies or try and fight them off, but the campfire will heal indiscriminately. Hopefully players can use this knowledge to their advantage next time they play Super Animal Royale.

Super Animal Royale is now available on PC and Xbox via Xbox Game Preview. The game is set to launch soon for PS4, PS5, Stadia, and Switch.
