The Pokemon fanbase have always been a creative bunch, with artists interpreting Pokemon in their own various styles and mediums across the internet throughout its many generations of games. One artist in particular has given themselves the task of reimagining Pikachu in every single different type, most recently posting an image of the famously electric-type Pokemon as a fighting-type.
While the original generation of Pokemon had only 15 different elemental types for its 151 Pokemon, Generation 2 added Dark and Steel, and Generation 6 added Fairy type, bringing that total up to 18. Due to the large array of different types, interpreting Pokemon as alternative elements is something that is common among Pokemon artists, with much of the popularity of the concept likely coming from the constantly expanding list of Pokemon's evolutions for Eevee, available via evolving it using specific methods.

Posting to Reddit, Abz-art originally started their Pikachu project with a fire-type rendition of the usually electric mouse, stating "I'm doing every type btw, so expect 16 more of these lol." Abz was true to their word, constantly releasing their interpretations of Pikachu and working their way through the long list of Pokemon's different elemental types. Each Pikachu is uniquely designed to match their element, with the fighting-type variant sporting a color palette similar to Hitmonlee's beiges and browns, a fierce look in its eyes and scars where the electric-type's red cheeks normally lie.
With the fighting-type variant out of the way, Abz only has three more types to go: flying, normal, and bug-type. These all sound like they will be interesting to interpret, with flying and bug being reasonably ambitious designs for a Pikachu rework, and the normal-type variant likely requiring some finesse to give it a unique design. As Abz has already created a fantastic looking dragon-type Pikachu, it would seem they are more than capable of thinking outside of the box when it comes to their Pikachu designs, while also managing to capture Pokemon's specific art-style.
It will be great to see the full elemental set of Pikachus when Abz completes them, with the current collection already having more different type variants than Eevee has in the official series. With Abz having already given the same treatment to Sceptile, reimagining the grass type as an ice and electric mix, it's likely that fans of their work can expect a new wave of Pokemon type swaps to come from the artist once the Pikachu line has been completed.
