June is a big month for gamers this year, as there are many highly anticipated titles coming out. Among these, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is easily one of the most high profile. This game has been used for almost a year to showcase the superior power of the PS5 and the ways that developers can make use of its SSD, and soon players are going to get to experience all of that for themselves. While it's been made abundantly clear that this is a PS5 exclusive game, some PC players are curious about how long that exclusivity will last.
It's definitely not unheard of that an exclusive game will eventually branch out to other platforms, but it usually takes a while before that kind of thing happens. That said, fans have noticed an interesting detail in a Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart trailer that could imply that the game is heading for PC sooner rather than later.

Last month, the official PlayStation YouTube channel shared a new trailer for Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. For the most part, this trailer showed off some of the game's weaponry and traversal mechanics, but attentive fans noticed something interesting. In most of the trailers for the game so far, the final screen has always showed the words "PlayStation 5 Exclusive" to indicate that the game wouldn't be available on any other platforms. In this trailer that released in May, the wording was changed ever so slightly to instead say "PlayStation 5 Console Exclusive." It's easy to see why this provided a glimmer of hope for PC players.
This change in wording could be interpreted to mean that the PS5 is the only console that Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart will release on, but that kind of terminology usually doesn't include PC. There are also plenty of rumors indicating that other PS5 exclusives are coming to PC sometime in the near future. It should be stated that this is purely speculation, as neither Sony nor Insomniac Games have officially said that the game will be on PC. At the moment, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is not on PC, only PS5.
If the game ever does come to PC, it will likely be quite some time. At the bare minimum, players should expect to wait at least a year, but it could well be much longer than that. It's also important to keep in mind that PC gamers would need a pretty high end PC in order to run the game.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is available now exclusively on PS5.
