While the series may be moving in a different direction, Final Fantasy fans still look back fondly on the series' past and how they could control a wide array of party members who brought numerous strengths and weaknesses to the table. Some classic Final Fantasy games had no party-switching mechanic, which was fine since players would be graced with a balanced party that could take on most enemies without breaking a sweat.
