The Bullhead is an important fish for completing the Community Center in Stardew Valley but isn't particularly difficult to catch or find.

The Bullhead is a common fish in Stardew Valley necessary for some villager quests as well as completing the Community Center. Luckily, it isn't difficult to catch.

Players will likely find Bullheads early on in their Stardew Valley playthrough because it can be found during all seasons. Fishing early on and during the winter seasons in Stardew Valley is important until the player can work up enough income solely from crops. But before that, seeds will look a bit pricey, and the easiest way to get small chunks of change is to go fishing, even if the fish aren't worth all that much. The challenging part is getting used to Stardew Valley's fishing mechanic, which some players love and others hate, but it comes with a steep learning curve.

Luckily, the Bullhead isn't difficult to catch; it has a smooth swimming pattern and typically doesn't make any sudden movements. It can be found up in the mountain lake during any season. The Bullhead also has a chance to randomly appear in Krobus' shop on Wednesdays. Unfortunately, the Bullhead and its product, Roe, aren't profitable compared to other fish in the game, such as the Super Cucumber and Super Cucumber Roe, so it's not worth keeping Bullheads in the farm pond over other fish.

But the Bullhead is essential to completing the Fish Tank in the Community Center. The only Bundle that the Bullhead appears in is the Lake Fish Bundle and will likely be the first one caught out of the rest of the Lake Fish Bundle, including the Largemouth Bass. It doesn't appear in any additional remixed Bundles following Stardew Valley's 1.5 update.

Otherwise, the Bullhead is a pretty insignificant fish in Stardew Valley, much like the Sea Bass in Animal Crossing: New Horizons; it likes to show up whenever players are looking for another, rarer fish up in the mountain. Like any fish, it can be used to make Maki Rolls, Quality Fertilizer, and Sashimi. Combining the Bullhead with Cloth at Emily's sewing machine makes a Fishing Vest, which cannot be dyed.

The Lake Fish Bundle is generally a much easier Fish Tank Bundle than others, such as the Night Fishing Bundle or the Ocean Fish Bundle, because many of these fish only appear when it's raining and are far more difficult to successfully catch. But after completing the Lake Fish Bundle, players will be rewarded with a Dressed Spinner for their efforts.

Stardew Valley is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
