One Destiny 2 player does the math to see just how many days it would take players to get all seasonal mods from the Ada-1 vendor.

Destiny 2's newest season, Season of the Splicer, has brought a lot of new content to the game, including the game's newest batch of combat style mods. One Destiny 2 player, however, has done the math on how long it takes to get all of the combat style mods, and they are not impressed.

For those who don't know, combat style mods are seasonal mods that impart large benefits to players when equipped. Since they are only seasonal mods though, they go away at the end of the season. Even if the same mod a player has equipped at the end of a season appears in the next season, the Destiny 2 player has to earn it all over again.

For Season of the Splicer players can purchase a single combat style mod from Destiny 2's Ada-1 vendor every day that is randomly selected. Reddit user Meeesh- did the math on how long it would take for players to get all of the season's combat style mods with that method and posted it to the game's subreddit. They began by figuring out that there was 47 combat mods with a number of different rolls for each mod, leading to there being a total of 204 possible mods for Ada-1 to sell on any given day.

This means that players wanting to get all of the mods from Ada-1 would have to sign in every day for 204 days to get all of them, and that is only if Ada-1 never repeats what mods she sells. Meeesh- also points out that 204 days is more than double the length of one of Destiny 2's seasons. The post also provides a possible solution with Ada-1 having a bag with two versions of each mod put into it. Whenever a mod is sold, it is removed from the bag, ensuring that players will get two chances to buy every mod over the course of a season and guaranteeing they will get all of them before the end of each Destiny 2 season.

The comments on the Reddit post are largely supportive of the bag idea for selling the mods, as many of the players echo the post's frustration with Ada-1's current system. Other comments also voice their frustration over grinding for seasonal mods and building their character's around them just for the new season to come and reset it all. Developer Bungie has acknowledge the frustrations of Destiny 2 players in the past, so hopefully, the developers will listen and take a look at how players can earn seasonal mods in the future.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
