Call of Duty: Warzone players discover a new way to hide in unusual locations by literally playing dead and posing as corpses across the map.

Players tend to find ways to manipulate bugs and glitches in Call of Duty: Warzone to gain an advantage over opponents. While these bugs tend to be passive and easily avoided, one recent issue is catching many players off guard. Call of Duty: Warzone fans have found a way to mimic the dead and hide in plain sight.

Many fans believe that the best way to hide in plain sight is with the infamous Call of Duty: Warzone Roze skin. Despite this, a new bug allows fans to bury themselves in the floor and pose as a dead body in multiple locations. This gives them time to strike when an enemy player is not paying attention.

The bug is best presented in a clip by Dutton90 posted to Reddit. In the clip, the player is seen heading up a set of stairs when they suddenly spot a strangely posed player. The enemy is seen planking on top of a plant and burying the top half of their character inside the staircase. Assuming the enemy was dead, Dutton90 decided to move on only to be attacked suddenly by the "dead" enemy. With only a few moments to react, they did land some hits on the opponent, but it was not enough due to the preparation time that the hidden player had using this Call of Duty: Warzone glitch.

The comments have debated about what exactly happened in this clip. While many are calling it a glitch due to the model crossing inside of the environment's mesh, others believe that it was completely fair game. Call of Duty: Warzone is filled with locations where players can hide, and this spot is not "game-breaking" to many fans.

Despite this, players are extremely cautious around corpses, as this continues to appear across the game. Fans that spot players using a similar tactic should not that corpses tend to "ragdoll" within the game, and if the model is rigid, it is most likely still a live player. Fans are advised to be cautious until the Call of Duty: Warzone developers can prevent this bug from occurring.

Fans who encounter players posing as corpses are encouraged to document each incident and share it online. The Call of Duty: Warzone developers read many of the community's posts and concerns, and they often source these concerns for future patches and improvements to the Call of Duty: Warzone experience.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
