In one of the new quests for Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 7, there's one that requires players to collect some stone from The Aftermath.

Fortnite's Season 7 is finally here after weeks of leaks, teases, and speculation. This season's theme is just as fans expected: Aliens. UFOs are on the map for players to control, skins for alien characters like Superman, and even Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty. As far as the new Fortnite map goes, things haven't changed too much; however, there is a new point of interest in the middle of the map that replaces The Spire.

This location is now called The Aftermath and is just a hole in the ground with water and some stones surrounding it. It's actually a great spot to find some treasure chests for helpful loot, but it's also the location that players need to travel to complete one of this week's quests. Fortnite players will need to collect stone from The Aftermath, and here's how to do it.

Before players collect the stone from the location, they'll have to get there first, of course. Players can set a destination for this point shown on the Fortnite map below. It's a purple-colored section that sits right in the middle of the map and should not be hard to get to at all. Before players land in the center of the area, they should be prepared to deal with some enemies. Many players are trying to enter this area this week to check out the new locale, so having a decent gun or two is an excellent decision.

Once players get to The Aftermath, they should notice a couple of small stones coming out of the ground/water. These will need to be attacked by the player's pickaxe or powerful guns for them to break. This is how stone is collected, and players will need to grab them until the quest is marked as complete on the top of the screen. This should only take players a minute or so, but other players might show up, which can potentially impede players' progress for this quest.

Battle Stars are also a new thing for Fortnite players to get their hands on. They're earned by leveling up the battle pass and can be used to unlock battle pass rewards in the order that players choose.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
